I may be wrong about this, but according to the latest issue of Forbes
magazine, this fund is closed to new investors.  Also closed is the Vanguard
Windsor and Penn Mutual funds plus a few others.  Closing funds seems to be
in vogue of late.  There is actually a semi-sophisticated economical reason
for these closings (too detailed to go into).  Keep your eye open for
articles in Forbes magazine which rate funds, this will help you select a
good alternative.  All of these funds have very outstanding track records
which accounts for the strong flow of money into them and hence, the sudden
closings.
