I've never posted to net.jokes before (mainly due to fear of being flamed:
"You jerk!  I heard that when I was five years old!")  However, I haven't
seen anyone post this one before, so. . .

A Russian scientist and an American scientist are talking, each bragging
about their own space programs:
Russian:  "Soviet space program is superior to Americans.  Is far more
           advanced!"
American: "Now, how can you say that?  You don't have anything like our
           space shuttle program!"
Russian:  "Ha!  You playing with orbital missions and moon missions.
           Ve sending people to the sun!"
American: "What!?  That's impossible.  They'd burn up!"
Russian:  "Ah, ve smart.  Ve go night time!"
