The machine has the double density upgrade. The machine is not able to read a few disks in drive B. These disks *are* readable by another Osborne. If the default drives are flipped (so that drive B is now on the left instead of the right) the problem *still* remains; the disks are not read in the new drive B. So it is not the disks, and it is not the drives. I replaced the 8877 floppy controller chip but the problem persists. Before I replace the floppy controller board, I want to appeal to the net. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Are there any fixes other than replacing the controller board? I've cleaned all the contacts, checked the head alignments, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
