Most of the responses recommended either 1) not doing it or 2) disassembling the dos routines. If you are really lazy, you can buy 'Beneath Apple PRODOS' by Don Worth and Pieter Lechner. One program in the back has the assembly language routines to do this. As a side note, this is the same program in 'Beneath Apple DOS' by the same authors that called DOS to move the arm. I suppose either it is much harder to do in PRODOS or they got a lot of calls on it. Whatever the reason, it is there (I haven't tried it yet, though). geoff sherwood
