I saw a demo of OverVue II.0 last night at our user group
(the San Diego Mac User Group) and, although I'm not particularly a
database afficianado, it was VERY impressive.  Although memory
based (requires a 512 for serious work) it offerred interesting
relational capabilities, it had a very good and natural user interface
(including macros, and custom report formats),  and was fast.

If I were getting a database, this is the one I'd check out.
