Message-ID: <11@ssc-vax.UUCP> Date: Thu, 20-Jun-85 17:34:07 EDT Article-I.D.: ssc-vax.11 Posted: Thu Jun 20 17:34:07 1985 Date-Received: Sun, 23-Jun-85 00:31:38 EDT Distribution: net Organization: Boeing Aerospace Co., Seattle, WA Lines: 20 Does anyone have a clear line to where someone is planning to release a native code Modula-2 for the Mac? I have seen both the Volition and Modula corp versions and I assume that the public domain compiler is also a intermediate code version. MacModula has a nice interface with the Mac but takes forever to compile and link. The Volition compiler is the P-system all over again but otherwise is an excellent intermediate code compiler. I want POWER! I have heard that Senic is doing a native but I haven't heard hide nor hair of it since last Christmas. Modula Corp is also in the race but they seem far behind in their schedule. Also there are rumors of a Borland turbo pascal for Mac, and they are working on a turbo M-2, but it will be out on the PC first. It may take a while for it to make it to the Mac. I even called Interlogic and they want to transport their M-2 compiler to Mac, but its just a pipe dream as of yet. Anybody got a newer set of rumors?ar *** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE ***
