Since I sent away my MacGrep program, I discovered a bug that caused
the wrong volume to be searched. This bug is now corrected. Apart from 
the bugfix, this version has an icon of its own. The new version is
posted to net.sources.mac.
This program is probably not going to evolve further, so I won't clutter
the net with 4711 bugfixes and updates...

By the way, my report on grep and diff programs wasn't complete:
apart from there being grep and diff programs in the Manx Aztec C system,
one person told me that he was working on a set of Unix-like utilities,
so we may expect more programs in this line in the future.
