Message-ID: <154@pedsgd.UUCP> Date: Fri, 7-Jun-85 16:47:22 EDT Article-I.D.: pedsgd.154 Posted: Fri Jun 7 16:47:22 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 8-Jun-85 03:25:17 EDT Distribution: na Organization: Perkin-Elmer, Tinton Falls, NJ Lines: 22 Xref: watmath net.misc:8073 net.followup:4960 In today's (7 June) NY Times, Pepsi has a full page ad saying, in part, "nearly half of those who have tried new Coke say it's time to switch from Coke...and the overwhelming majority say they'll switch to Pepsi." Not me (I'll take Royal Crown if I can't get the Real Thing), but I think (hope) Coke's marketeers are getting the message. Pepsi also reports their May sales were the highest monthly figures in their history. Protest hint: Coke has an 800 number on the side of the cans (1-800-GET-COKE). Let's take them at their word. Coke: it's the surreal thing.
