But the important difference is that #1 sucked! That series offers nothing terribly different from lots of other movies out there already (The Slumber Camp Massacre, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dynasty [(-:] ) In my opinion, Rocky is quite different (redundant) from other movies. While I dislike boxing, I enjoy the Rocky movies (tho not Stallone's other epics) because I find them very exciting and invigorating. The other thing that bothers me about all the bad-mouthing of his flicks is that everybody goes and sees them and seems to enjoy them (everyone is the theatres I go to screams and yells and applauds and all that), yet they seem ashamed to admit they like them. It's easier to say it was crap. Sort of like admitting you like "We Are the World." (I do.) Nobody is trying to say that these are works of classic literature, but they are entertaining, fun, exciting, and I would rather watch all 3 (4?) Rocky flicks (in a row) than 1 of those Friday the 13th pieces of crap. So sue me. Keep those arguments coming in!
