Somehow it seems that it is not artistically acceptable to reuse characters and techniques that everyone enjoys. It is just NOT legit to keep making money without inventing something NEW :->! It is interesting to me to consider this subject. I am primarily an sf-lover of the written variety, although I certainly don't shun either big or little screen. Thinking through some of the literary series I've read, I'm amazed at the resentment that's evident toward movie series. Some classics of sf are acclaimed, and more sequels are awaited. Yet the mention of Rocky IV or STIV or another Bond makes for groans. We are human, and part of that is the quality of jealousy. Why should YOU make a fortune on a successful formula when I'm still plodding along here? -- /-\ :-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-: : Steven List @ Benetics Corporation : : (415) 940-6300 : : {cdp, idi, oliveb, tolerant}!bene!luke!steven : :-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-: \-/
