A Japanese film titled "The Makioka Sisters" is currently having a 
limited two-week run in the Boston area.  This is the second film I've
gotten truly excited about so far this year - a truly beautiful film!
Briefly, the story concerns four sisters bridging the older ways of
Japanese aristocracy before WWII and modern times.  The acting and
cinematography are impressive.  Do see this film if you get the chance.
