Whether a machine containing 'all the history and memories of
Beethoven' (whatever that means) is capable of creating great music
is irrelevant to me.

If all I can discover about the composer of a piece of music is
that it is a machine with certain characteristics, I am unlikely to
have much empathy with the composer or its music.  My knowledge
of the composer affects how I hear the music.
