Probably the greatest 'pure' bluegrass tenor voice north of the Mason-Dixon line, Joe's voice and humility will be sorely missed. Joe's discography is somewhat limited, but there was the "Beatles Country" album in the late 60's, and 5 records on the Rounder label over the last 10 years. Bluegrass music is a music of the heart, and my heart will ache every time I hear a group do 'Daniel Prayed' when I think of the way it 'used to sound'. Joe, you're gonna be missed.
