It's also been (pretty much) unanimously agreed that such a group should NOT deal with gun control issues (net.flame does this job quite nicely). The mail.firearms list is dead. No real signs of its resurrection. It was also felt that a newsgroup would have reached a wider audience. So, what's the deal? It seems that if groups like 'net.nlang.greek' can exist, a weapons group certainly couldn't be deemed 'too esoteric'.. Do we have to beg?? Please Mr. Wizard, let's give it a shot.. Ok? This is not a new subject or desire. Now, considering that someone 'in charge' of creating newsgroups is reading this.. I think that a mod group would be best. This would prevent the gun control flames. I am willing to be the moderator. If someone at a more 'backbone' type site wished to moderate, even better. I talk to dual, pyramid, pesnta, decwrl & qantel, but someone may be able to do better than this. In any case, let's stop talking about it and give it a shot (please?).. - Jordan.. -- Jordan K.
