You don't need neon failure to get great hotel signs.  At one time,
the main hotel in Willimantic CT was the

			HOTEL HOOKER

named after a local Revolutionary war hero.  Last I heard, it was
to be converted into dorms for the local state college
(HOOKER DORM?)
