The new Professional Printer from IBM looks really good, and the price
is amazing ($411 to users through the University here).  For a little
over twice that, the Quietwriter from IBM (which really is quiet!) takes
font cartridges and does absolutely letter quality (no compromise) and
graphics.  I'm not used to recommending IBM, but I have to (grudgingly
hand it to them on both these products.
