I am considering perhaps a non-albino Dwarf rabbit and would appreciate any advice from net rabbit owners/breeders. - Where is the best place to purchase a rabbit? Are pet-store ones really healthy? How do I find a local rabbit breeders club? How do I make sure it's a Dwarf? Are there breeds that are more suitable for apartments? - I am considering a large wire cage with a deposit collector tray. Does the rabbit need a house to sleep in or a place where he can sit off the wire floor? - Is wise to take a rabbit outside? Will dogs, cars and other noises be too terrifying? Is park/campus grass sprayed so much that it may be harmful? Does a domestic rabbit have enough instinct not to consume something harmful to it, such as a poisonous plant? Is worth trying to grow grass or other plants in an apartment for the rabbit? - Will the rabbit need to breed (like Spock in Amok Time) or will it be content with a subscription to Playbunny? Also wanted - name suggestions: How about... Starsky ( ... in Hutch ) or... Feature ( It's not a Bugs, it's a Feature. ) Barely resisting buying one now, Dani Roloson -- UUCP: ...!{ utzoo,decvax,ihnp4,allegra}!watmath!daroloson ARPA: daroloson%watmath%waterloo.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa CSNET: daroloson%watmath@waterloo.CSNET " O.K. no saber-toothed rabbits, how about one that growls loudly?
