The actual statement is ``It's not over 'til the fat lady sings.''  This
is a reference not to sporting events, but to opera.  For some reason, it
seems that most grand divas are quite corpulent.

	You were perhaps thinking of Casey Stengel's immortal observation
that in football and hockey and basketball, it's over when the clock says
its over, but in baseball ``it ain't over until it's over''.
