My ex-wife was substantially less intelligent than I am, and felt very insecure about it. She was certainly a good person, at least in most respects, but the fact that I could do intellectual tasks that she couldn't became a major source of friction. Ever since the divorce I have made it a point to date women with approximately matching IQ. In general this means finding women who excell me in the same number of areas as I excell them, since intelligence takes so many different forms. This type of selection policy has worked out quite well for me. Interestingly, I meet the most intelligent women in outdoor sports settings rather than at the University. If you're looking for intelligent people I suggest the local chapter of the Sierra Club or your local mountaineering organization. Regards -- Walt Haas ...{decvax seismo ihnp4}!utah-cs!haas
