I don't mind trivia usually. In fact I like the kind that asks realistic questions like which team has had the most Cy Young winners or who was the rookie of the year in '52, but I hate the kind of ridiculous questions that have popped up lately about throwing 9 pitches in a 9 inning game or how to drive in 5 runs with a single at bat or was that a single plate appearance. I thought this newsgroup was for something else, at least it seemed so last year. Why can't we discuss things that are happening now. Like what about Rick Sutcliffe? Is he still injured? How long was/is he out? With all the Cub fans and Mets fans, I would have thought his injury might have been something to talk about. Or is it just too early in the year? Me, I'm a Braves fan. I don't have nothin' to talk about. I do have a baseball related question that came to mind during a recent Braves rain delay. How many ballclubs put advertisements on the tarp that covers the infield during a rain delay. The reason I ask is because Morton Salt has their familiar "When It Rains, It Pours" slogan on the Braves tarp. Is it common throughout the league to have advertisements or is that Ted's idea? -- Roger Pannell ARPA: pannell%dosadi.DEC@DECWRL.ARPA, pannell%dosadi.DEC@Purdue-Merlin.ARPA UUCP: {allegra, decvax, ucbvax}!decwrl!rhea!dosadi!pannell
