The only other one that I know of was by Billy Wambganss (as I recall it, I suppose it could have been Herb Wambngass) definitely he was the Cleveland 2nd baseman. As for 8 game world series. I know that the 1919 world series went 8 games, with Cincinatti beating the Chicago White Sox five games to three. Of course history records the white sox as having been very heavy favorites in that series, but they seem to have lost it on errors by their star pitcher Ed Cicotti.
