There is something wrong with a rule that allows a team to gain an advantage by committing an infraction. A good-skating team can provoke coincidental penalties to gain the advantage that comes with a 4-on-4. The same problem exists in basketball where the losing team will commit foul after foul in the final minutes of a game in order to slow the clock and get the ball back. Besides, if 4-on-4's are so exciting, why don't they just play the whole game 4-on-4? Wayne Citrin (ucbvax!citrin)
