Can anyone suggest an inexpensive (but nice -- second class) hotel in Rome?
I'm travelling to Turin for a conference in early July, but will be able
to spend a few days in Rome. The only hotels that the travel agent seems to
be able to book are first class.  When I went to Paris before Christmas, I
stayed in a nice hotel for only $30.00 a night (for two - including breakfast).
Am I crazy to expect similar accomodations in Rome?  If I get a good
recommendation, I'm perfectly willing to call Italy to make the reservation
(actually, I'll ask an Italian friend to call!).

Since I'll be in Rome on the 27th of this month, replies are requested soon!
