According to my sources, a gentleman just came back from England with the
following information.

ITV wanted to buy the Dr. Who series.  The BBC almost sold it to them.  I do
not know who backed out, but the reason is tied to the fact that the BBC wanted
to have overseas rights to the stories that they have produced for 5 years after
the sale of Dr. Who.  ITV didn't like that.  I guess they wanted all or nothing.

It keeps looking as if the idea that the BBC will cancel the Doctor after next
season is looking like more of a reality.

We will have to wait and see.

Let's put Michael Grade in a time-loop, never to be heard of again.
