In particular, how do you manage the autodialing without resorting to using the dial(3) call? I couldn't even get the dial() routine to work correctly (error -9). Also, why do I get a steady stream of garbage if I read from /dev/ph1 when it is not connected to anything? It just doesn't seem to work like a normal tty device. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me, as acu(7) is missing from my copy of the UNIX PC documentation. -Theo Pozzy USENET: ...!decvax!dartvax!cmi CSNET: cmi@dartmouth USNAIL: P.O.
