Some of you may recall a method of doing DECnet backups that I
distributed a couple of months ago.  I have now written a program
which resides as a DECnet object on a VMS system with a tape drive,
and acts as a one-way BACKUP server.  This offers some improvements in
that it is a little more robust, and allows larger block sizes on
tape: up to 32Kb.

The source is available via anonymous FTP from USC-ECLC in directory
PS:<CHRIS.PUBLIC> as DCNBACKUP.B32 and DCNBACKUP.LIS (which can be
assembled).  If you do not have FTP access, send me a request and I
can mail the files to you.
