For what it's worth, I know we have alarm ACE's working fine
on engvax.  I do remember having problems with the ACL editor
not accepting some ACE's which are accepted by the SET ACL
and SET FILE/ACL commands.  I seem to recall the problem was
with setting default protection ACE's, but I certainly wouldn't
be surprised if the ACL editor had a little difficulty
accepting other perfectly legal ACE's...
