I've seen some other references and am wondering what it is and does and how we might get it. We are manufacturing a line of high-powered low-cost image processing boards for the VME bus. (Things like real time 3x3 convolution boards, 3x3 systolic neighborhood area processors that are cascadable for larger neighborhoods, real-time histogram and feature list extraction, etc). The architecture allows the user to trade off boards for speed / performance. It is also an open architecture so designers can easily add their own custom hardware and not worry about digitizers, frame stores, basic signal processing (we even offer a prototype board with all the hooks for VME and our own digital video interconnect. We need a way to separate the algorithms from the hardware. Looking for image processing standards / languages. Might Image-Calc be a possiblity? What other image processing "languages" are out there? Bob Berger Datacube Inc. 4 Dearborn Rd.
