In their brochure, they said that the car manufacturer was more concerned with a smooth ride so their recommended pressure was low. The tire manufacturer is more concerned with the tire life so their recommendation is higher. The way I see it, the tire manufacturer should know what's best for his tire. -Kevin S. Grant
