The only problem is that it really likes emptiing my wallet!! I bought the car for about $1000 and have already put $1500 into it to keep it on the road. I have encountered tons of mechanical problems. One of the most bothersome is the drive shaft. Since i bought the car, i have already put in three drive shafts. The shafts just keep breaking at the universal joints. The shaft is a two piece unit that is not servicable. So each time the shaft broke i had to go to the junkyard to find another. As you may guess i am quit sick of this! Is there anyone who might know of a suitable replacment for the Capri's shaft that a little more durable? My Capri has the Borg-Warner automatic transmision (i mention this because the splines that go to the shaft are bigger than those on the standard shift Capri's.)
