It now has over 31,000 miles. I had the same experience as Kim, with the difference that I change the oil every 7,500 miles, as the operator's manual suggests. Colts are known to live routinely to 150,000 miles without major expenses. I don't know about the new Colt model, which is a little bigger than the old one. Also, the 1.4 liter engine is not very powerful. I think that the new model comes with the 1.6 liter as the standard engine, but I would check. A used Colt would be a perfect car for a single person or a new family on a tight budget. Marco Valtorta
