ok, here's the last RAAM update at 1:15 am August 1st, 1985.


Well, folks it looks like Susan Notorangelo-Haldeman pulled the slingshot
and bolted ahead of Shelby hayden-Clifton to an hour an 20 minute lead.
Notorangelo is 26 miles from the finish and is expected to set a new women's 
record for the crossing. 

Meanwhile, Hayden-Clifton is 26 miles back from Notorangelo and will take
second in the women's and fifth overall. 

Elaine Mariolle is 94 mile back and will finish 3rd in the women's and
sixth overall.
