Not only does salting slugs have interesting effects, but beer does too.

You see, them slugs love the taste of it, and a small dish of it left outside
overnight (near a spot suspected to be slug-infested) will draw those suckers
like flies. They crawl into the dish, overdo it, and die inebriated.

I've heard tell that pigeons will explode if fed Alka-Seltzer tablets. Is this
true?
