I had a run in with them a couple >of years ago. > ..etc I had Sears give me a new credit card number when I moved to CA. Sears messed up the number being reported to TRW, so I went to TRW to have them contact Sears and straighten it out. Since an office was a block from ny condo, I figured going in person would get things fixed easier. Ha! It was like talking to a brick wall. After about the fifth "I'm sorry, that's what Sears tells us so we put it in the file," I glanced at a plaque on the wall. It was a 15 year service award for the moron I was talking at! I've also happened to notice that almost all the workers for TRW were of a certain ethnic persuasion, and I have had many similar encounters since. I've stuck to mailing my complaints, then calling when they mess up. They won't talk to you on the phone on the first contact. On the other hand I've had very good response from CBI, which reports on mainly the Bay area. Once you get through to them (a phone that'll repeat dial until it rings helps) there is some intelligence onthe other end of the line. Dave Fox ..!ptsfa!df
