In my wild and crazy youth I once got a ticket for doing 105 in a 15 (+90). I was only trying to catch the front of a one mile long freight train in a mile and a half after I got across the tracks when it went by. Seemed reasonable at the time (ie. wild youth and 2:00 AM). I never did see the cop until he pulled up as I was walking into the building where I worked nights. When he came up with lights and sirens I thought there must be a burglary in process, no such luck. I remember the court incident well as I had eschewed the idea of getting my hair cut and took my chances. Turned out the judge was blind and I ended up with a fine or a week in driver's training. I don't know how the officer arrived at 105; I think he just made a guess. I didn't argue though since I was going considerably faster in the old Firebird. gt "momma always said i'd come to no good; glad she didn't live to see i sank to being an engineer."
