Sorry to bore those of you who saw it the first time. I own a 1978 Honda CX500. The bike is in good shape, but the seat is developing a tear. I talked to my local Honda dealer about replacing the seat, and he said it would cost me about $100 to buy a new seat from Honda. He also said that someone makes a cover that uses the old pan and foam - it costs $90. Both of these options are out of my price range. Does anyone have a seat for my bike just sitting around collecting dust? There has to be someone somewhere who replaced the stock seat on his 500 with a custom seat. If only I could find that person, I'd buy his old stock seat in an instant. I'd really appreciate any help on this. Thanks. Mark Champion Gould CSD 1101 E.
