The Hayes 2400 does seem to have a lot a problems. When dialing into the Hayes 2400 from another hayes 2400, I sometimes get 'CONNECT 1200' instead of 2400 and other times I hear the modem screaming and yelling but get only junk characters on my terminal. The connect failure rate on this modem seems too high for a modem that costs so much. I need at least 2 calls to another 2400 site before I get a good connection. Anyone else experienced these problems with 2400 baud modems? -earlw
