Surrrre.  I bet you'd love to see this happen if a drunk stole your car,
or if your kid (heaven forbid) went off on a totally unexpected drunk spree
with the wrong people and was caught in your car.
I fail to see how it is legally possible for authorities to confiscate
anything (other than banned items like heroin, obviously) in punishment of
an individual if it is not the property of the individual.
