R+D, Santa Monica Lines: 25 Summary: I've got two explanatins for the diatribes against UPS: 1. UPS operates differently (and beter) in LA than anywhere else in the US (somehow unlikely). 2. Most of you cretins know how to sign your paycheck but haven't figured out how to read yet. At least that would explain why you haven't been able to read the lines on the cute little note UPS hangs on your door. The ones that say if you want the package left on your doorstoop you should SIGN THE FORM. (I've even gotten COD stuff by signing the form and attaching a sealed envelope with a check made out to UPS.) Or perhaps you've never thought of asking people to have UPS deliver your stuff to your company where you work. That's legal too, of course, and I doubt that the receptionist/security guard has orders to shoot a UPS delivery man. You could probably arrange it in advance very easily. Of course that's not nearly as much fun as bitching about a company that's considerably more reliable and cheaper than the USSnail, not to mention including up to $100 worth of insurance free for each package shipped. --Lee Gold
