Don't you under- stand the whole purpose behind the law? It is to prevent accidents caused by impairment of driving ability stemming from intake of alcohol, not to ensure that you have less than some particular percentage of alcohol in your blood! Just because the law has to have a measurable test for drunkenness does not mean that you have a perfect right to go zooming around at a .001% alcohol level if your ability is impaired at this level. Yes, I agree that it would be a good idea to have a breathalyzer available, but it is a much better idea to use common sense and realize (in advance if necessary) how much alcohol it takes to get YOU drunk. marie desjardins park
