There's nothing more challenging to me as a player than to have to switch "personalities" in midstream. All of a sudden, you have this irresistable urge to kill your party members. What could be more fun? From your comments above, how would you handle being charmed by someone of an opposing alignment? Even though this is ussually temporary, the effect is pretty much the same.
