AArgh. > When I am not mistaken, the state of affairs is the following: After "you are conscious again" you are guaranteed to have enough energy to do at least one thing (drink a potion, read a scroll, move one step, ...); however, fighting takes more energy than moving, and it may well be that if you try to hit a monster, you faint again without hearing "you hit/miss the x".
