Magic is an interactive editor for VLSI layouts. It is a very recently
developed CAD tool from Berkeley. It uses two displays -- one for text
(usually black and white) and the other for displaying layouts in
colour (hi-res colour display with >=8 bit planes and a colour lookup
table).  Currently, Magic works with UCB512's (AED512's with Berkeley
enhancements) AED1024's, SUN2/120's and Pyramids...

It is available to universities on an internal-use-only basis; anyone
else probably has to pay...
