I have had luck emulating a vt100 on a V7/4.2 machine this way. You have to choose DIRECT as opposed to FORMATTED i/o (i can't remember what their term for it is, but it is done by editing the PARAMETERS of the SET something or other). Failing that, then I don't know what the problem is. I hope this vagary helps. Bruce
