It was a couple of years ago, and he was doing configuration control for a unix port. He dreamed that he had to write a device driver for his refrigerator before he could use it. (Very sad ... the poor guy is a manager now.) His partner on the project in charge of quality assurance dreamed that he was standing in the middle of the road and a huge steamroller (labelled with the project name, in the best tradition of political cartoons) was heading straight for him. In the dream he was handed an object and told to go out and stop the steamroller. When he got close to it, he noticed the object he'd been handed was a sponge. Sad, but true.
