If you think the sleep command has a humorous man page, take a look at an excerpt from the man page for reboot: REBOOT(8) UNIX Programmer's Manual REBOOT(8) ... Options to reboot are: -n option avoids the sync. It can be used if a disk or the processor is on fire. ... I can just imaging someone typing reboot -n on a terminal while using a fire extinguisher!
