I agree that pathalias, as it currently exists has problems, especially for a site like any here at U of Wisconsin, where we are on (pick n): USENET, ARPAnet, BITNET, CSNET (sort of) and probably others I don't know of. The 4.3 Bind server doesn't do it either, from what I can tell. It will tell me the Internet address of a site, but how about giving me the address of the uucp site dino at wisconsin (which can't work, for no better reason than that UUCP isn't a domain)? If pathalias had the idea of a domain name-space incorporated with it, I think the problems would be less. Speaking of duplicate sitenames, has anyone else noticed that there is a site named odin both in NJ and somewhere in Great Britain?
