greg skinner proposes an "Optimize: n" header, presumably for sendmail.
what is this disease?

are we talking about the same thing here?  explicit routing?  as in uucp
source routing?  if so, please explain why you expect, or even desire,
some faraway mailer to reroute your messages.  if not, please tell me what
optimization means for implicit routes.
