There was no US representation at the group comm ad hoc because the US
representative was very non-communicative and then dropped out of the
work (by changing jobs and leaving the country).  I am now the US rep
for SC18/WG4, and I did just attend the recent meeting in Paris.  I
would welcome participation from other people interested or experienced
in electronic mail systems.  The next meeting of the US group is August
26-30 in Waltham, Mass.  If you send mail, I will give you more info (as
it becomes available).  The US group is ANSI committee X3V1, task group
4.
