I can't give you a good reson to keep this newsgroup, but it occasionally
does have articles, certainly not quite as many as net.unix and others.

I suppose there is nothing wrong with discussing symbolic math in
net.math; after all there isn't a net.math.calculus, or net.math.geometry,
yet occasional discussions about this branch of mathematics are discussed
here.
